The Library at Gilt bar
Set behind a hidden door in the basement of a restaurant and bar in River North in a true speakeasy fashion, the Library at Gilt Bar brings your group back to the prohibition era and sets the mood for your 1920’s Themed Murder Mystery Party.

Why you’ll Love The library: Between the wine toned decor, velvet booths, dramatic chandeliers, vintage artwork and an appropriate music selection of vaudeville and jazz, this elaborate private dinner party venue will have your guests into engaged and invested in your Murder Mystery story line.

On the top floor of the Bourgeois Pig, a 30-year-old Lincoln Park cafe named after classic American literature, is this new Speakeasy bar concept called The Gatsby Chicago.

The Berkshire Room and Bodega at Acme Hotel was named after the historic alleged mob hangout from decades ago.

Capacity? If you have a large party, the Berkshire Room’s 100 guest capacity space is a excellent option to consider. The Bodega is a smaller 50 person max art deco space overlooking Berkshire. Rent one or both!
Food? This space has a small list of appetizers and and cheese spread.
Drinks? Chicago Tribune and Esquire Magazine have awarded Berkshire Room multiple cocktail awards, but the space is most known for their in-house made ‘dealers choice’ and ‘barrel-finished’ cocktails.

Kibbitznest is a part bookstore and boardgame-playing spot and part charcuterie and cocktail bar that has something for everyone!

Galway Arms Irish Bar and restaurant
With it’s ruby and neutral color palette and it’s splendid chandeliers and decor, The Galway Arms holds a special place in our hearts.

Why you’ll love Galway Arms: This old Mansion is over 140 years old and has been converted into the bar, restaurant, and event space that is centrally located making it a great choice for a corporate outing, birthday party, and of course Murder Mystery experience.
