Come alone, bring a date or a group of friends for this unforgettable one of-a-kind, an outdoor, exclusive immersive experience from Art Room Events.

Family and close friends of Lisa Wu, a famous Hawaiian news reporter with Channel 5 News, have gathered in a memorial service on Lisa’s boat to mourn and celebrate her life, as she has been recently murdered.

According to Hawaiian tradition, the mourners wear brightly-colored garments, black is not permitted. It is custom to talk about the deceased person's life over dinner and delicious Tiki cocktails. However, this life celebration will reveal many secrets and mysteries from Lisa’s past and will shed the light on whether her murderer is present tonight. Will her murder be solved in the nearest future? That will depend on the guests...of course, if they manage to hold onto the Tiki spirits without becoming one and joining Lisa on the other side.

Guests are encouraged to dress and act the part for the duration of the experience. What will you do with your welcome gift of $500.00?

LOCATION

This authentic, Hawaiian culture inspired experience is set to take place on the “shore” of the gorgeous Chicago River at our venue-partner, Island Party Hut

Art Room Events has partnerships with variety of Tiki Themed venues, outdoor, indoor and combination of both. For private events, if weather and amenities permit, we recommend hosting this festive party outdoor, with grill available. We can also bring this party to your backyard, park, corporate event space or any venue of choice.

PRIOR TO THE EVENT

Step 1. Book your private event or purchase tickets to a public experience and receive reservation confirmation.

Step 2. Fill out the Character Survey, we’'ll send you, to help us assign you the role you’ll love.

Step 3. Receive your individually assigned character and invitation with the event details, including location & the password to get in.

Step 4. Read your character description and event materials, so you are fully prepared for the night.

Step 5. Have fun planning your attire or check out suggested ideas. We encourage guests to dress for their part or stick with the theme.

DURING THE EVENT

Step 1. Check in with the experience host and receive additional materials essential for the party.

Step 2. Visit our costume & props bar (optional).

Step 3. Get your favorite Tiki drink from a dedicated bartender or server and order food (optional).

Step 4. Have fun mingling with other guests and getting to know each other’s characters.

Step 5. Participate in investigation, contests, receive more surprising clues, take mugshots, create drama, blackmail others, vote for the suspects, receive awards, and have a blast!

THINGS TO NOTE

Due to the Covid19 everyone is required to bring a mask in order to access the property

Must be 21+ for the open bar packages (ID required & will be checked) - available as an ADD ON. No refunds if ID is not presented or underaged.

Be on time & allow 20-30 additional minutes for logistics - parking, walking, checking-in.

No outside food or drinks are allowed.

Access point & Parking

Venue is located on the South side of the river, between Michigan ave & Columbus dr. The best staircase access point: Stetson ave.

Cancellation Policy

30 Days full refund or full credit cancellation policy applies. Tickets are not transferable , nor refundable if cancellation is requested less than 30 days prior to the event or a no show. Event cancellation due to the severe weather conditions will be communicated via email 2 hours prior to the scheduled event and will result in the credit towards future events. If experience is cancelled by the venue and not related to the weather conditions, a full refund or credit option will be provided.
